There is no refinement or power on a subject without accumulating wisdom in the cipher. Work always accumulates wisdom in the cipher, but whether you extract the wisdom from there and applying it is a different question. Let me explain. The refinement of power is necessary, so the 5 is there as power or refinement, or both. I read it, in this instance, as the refinement of power. Wisdom necessarily accumulates in the cipher because the cipher is always on. Always learning. Always decorating your mind with more ornaments of wisdom. Always adorning the walls of your mental museum with more and more art that symbolizes the best and worst of lessons from your history and lessons. Then when you let your experience inform the cipher with enough wisdom, it can easily bring you to and through to your next test.
It's pretty simple, really, understanding how wisdom informs the cipher, leading to the refinement of power. However, actually extracting the wisdom and applying it is another issue altogether. In order for the cycle to regenerate, you must find what bite-size wisdom is going to fit for you as you progress. Hopefully, you learn from someone else's experience or mess ups rather than your own. Just saying. Suffering occurs when we don't learn our lessons wisely, on time.
